Day Zero, August 8, 2004, The Group Departs for Neon
     DAY ZERO, Sunday August 9 Email from Kim Upon Arrival in Neon KY: Hi All,
We arrived in Neon at about 3:30 this afternoon. It was an enjoyable drive through the hills with five vehicles checking out the scenery. Just so you know, those of us with cell phones are not getting ANY signal at the place where we are staying. So family members should not expect many phone calls. We are going to be going to three projects in the morning. A group of 12 of us will be working on putting a concrete foundation together. Eight of us are going to be doing landscaping, which mostly means clearing rocks, debris etc... from a yard so that grass seed and hay can be put down. A group of 3 will be working on a one to two day roofing project, then rejoining the other two groups. Download is slow, but I hope to be able to post a couple pictures on the website tomorrow.
