Reaching out with the Love of Christ to individuals, our community, country and world.

Ongoing this week: 13 of our adults and youth are in Neon KY working with the HOMES mission project.

We are subdivided into two groups. The group working at the Conn home have replaced six windows and framed them, as well as framing a new door. All have been caulked, primed and painted. Additionally they finished putting a tin roof on the home. It looks lovely. The Conn family have been wonderful to work with.

The group at the Brown home tore out the floor in a bedroom and bathroom, replaced and added new footers and joist, replaced the floor and paneled the rooms. Part of the group has spent most of every day underneath the house! They have had an interesting experience with turkeys, chickens and peacocks on the farm.

We are all appreciative of tthe support of prayers and financial backing that our stockholders and members of God's family have provided.

Mission Trips

Doing Mission with more than our money

We do at least yearly mission trips, which in some years have included a full tithe (10%) of our membership going to spend a week rebuilding houses destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, or doing building and demolition in Appalachia.

From June 8 - 14 of 2008 we went to Staten Island NY to work with Project Hospitality. The Project works with issues of homelessness, hunger, poverty and AIDS/HIV. Our group worked in soup kitchens, homeless shelters, social programs for people who are affected by HIV/AIDS, and food and clothing pantries. See the link below to read more.

We have a long-term relationship with HOMES Inc., in Neon, Kentucky. We returned Neon from September 28th - October 4th of 2008, and will be taking another week long trip there from June 7 - 13 2009.

Sales of "Stock" in our mission trip are sold annually to financially supplement these trips. Stockholders recieve daily updates via email, letters, an invitation to a special meal & report after the trip, and the ability to participate even if they cannot go on the trip with us. Contact the church office to get your stock certificate now!
